Founded in 1999, Rubric Records has undergone varous permutations. Originally cofounded by owner Kenny Sehgal and David Gwiazdowski as a label for underground local artists and international oddities, particulary the Bevis Frond & Woronzow Records. In 2001 there was a brief 18 month alliance with the Knitting Factory. Since 2003 Rubric has been run in tandem with Tee Pee Records to increase our distribution ability.
